In my garden I grow the Lemon Thyme variety. Thyme can be used to treat various ailments. It is also useful in cooking. Some cultures add a sprig of fresh thyme to beans while they are cooking them.
Thyme has antiseptic properties making it a great treatment when you are suffering from a sore throat. It aids digestion and is also helpful for those suffering from ulcers. This warming herb works on the upper respiratory track. It clears away the phlegm and alleviates many lung complaints. It is very simple to create an alleviating Thyme tea. Merely boil water and steep a teaspoon of the dried or a tablespoon of the fresh herb covered for 5 to 10 minutes.
This herb is a perennial. It likes growing in sandy soil. It is a plant which needs a bit of space to grow. It grows best in a hot and sunny location.
In the Middle Ages it was placed under pillows to prevent nightmares. This herb was also carried to give courage in battle.

Basil
Basil is a herb which most of us can find in our kitchen. It is frequently used in recipes for pesto. This herb is sacred to Vishnu and Krishna in Hinduism. A burial tradition in Indian is to be placed to rest with a basil leaf on your chest. There are many ways we can use this sedating herb. There are many reasons we might choose to consume a basil tea. It is a great tonic for our nerves. We can also create a steam to inhale when we have a headache. There are many reasons to stock up on basil. It can enhance many dishes. When you are low on money it is very easy to eat a bit of oil and basil on pasta. This is an easy way to deal with a tight financial time.

Moon In Cancer
Cancer governs the breasts in astrology. This sign is one of the most fruitful signs to plant under. I will be planting several different types of Sage and some Rowan Trees on this lunar phase next week. I have 100 seeds of Rowan to grow. I am hoping to find a way to sell these trees one they have started to grow. These trees can be made into a bonsai. I look forward to doing this. It seems like an interesting way to make money.

Taurus governs the throat and neck in astrology. This sign is one of the more fruitful signs to plant under. It produces hardy herbs which are very strong. It will be easier to have healthy plants growing if they are planted on this date. I will be using this lunar phase to start some of my seeds in the greenhouse next week. This astrological phase is supposed to be good for planting root crops and lettuce.

Clary Sage
Write wishes on leaves of Clary Sage and place under your pillow while sleeping. The dreams which come to you should reveal whether your wish will manifest in your life. If it is a negative answer, you should bury the leaf in soil.
